Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is significantly under diagnosed and under treated. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder involves our thoughts (obsessions), and behaviours (compulsions). OCD is different for everybody. It is scary and it often doesn't make sense.
Anxiety disorders are common. Anxiety can make us think and feel very uncomfortable and sometimes we end up with a much smaller world because anxiety has bullied us into stopping doing certain things.
Mood disorders, such as depression can significantly impact our daily function such as our motivation, sleep and appetite. When this persists we end up seeing the world more negatively and our mind can lead us to believe we aren't worth as much as we are.
Eating disorders can take over everything and impact significantly on family life. Anorexia and binge eating disorders can also cause physical decline making activities such as concentrating at school and socialising very hard.
We all respond to what we feel differently, that's what makes us special. Some of us feel more than others and this can be our strength if we nurish this. Together we will look at unhelpful behaviours we use to regulate and cope and will work on steps to reducing these while practicing self compassion.
Our mental health can imapct our relationships with friends and loved ones. Lets work together to think about these and how we can improve the relationships that matter to us.
